We are eager to imagine alternatives and creatively find solutions to challenges. We continue to look outside the box and into the other room to overcome obstacles.

We strive to live honestly and truthfully in our words and actions, which includes not being afraid to live authentically with integrity and being truthful with those around us. This comes with continuing to amplify the voices of and advocating for those who have not found their voice in a space.

We acknowledge and know from experience that equality is not equity. We do not assume that everyone comes from the same lived experiences. Also, we know that offering the same resources and opportunities to everyone will not erase historical systemic, racial, and cultural inequities. We try our best to align the concept of equity with equitable practices and processes in any work that we do.

We believe in the power of collaboration and community. Our lived experiences, perspectives, and skill sets are unique to each of us. No one has the same lived experience, so when we are curious, open minded and willing to share our lived experiences with each other, we can create opportunities for growth as individuals and as a community. In collaborative community spaces, we can work together to solve common issues and work towards shared goals and visions together.
